Cookie Policy
What this covers
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. This policy also covers local storage, which works differently but does the same job, and which is what we actually use for most of the things below.
What we use
Essential
• Authentication and session management, so that you stay signed in. Set by Supabase Auth, which provides our authentication
• Security and rate limiting
These are necessary for the platform to work. They are set on the basis that you cannot use an account without them.
Preferences
• Your light or dark theme choice, stored locally on your device
• Campaign parameters from a link you arrived by, stored locally so that we can attribute a signup to the link that produced it
These stay on your device. They are not shared with anyone else and they do not follow you to other sites.
Usage
We record page views, searches and feature usage in our own database in order to understand what people use. This is first-party and stays with us.
What we do not use
We do not run advertising cookies. We do not use third-party advertising or marketing trackers, we do not measure advertising effectiveness, and we do not track you across other websites. There is no Google Analytics, Facebook pixel or equivalent on this site.
We have said this plainly because a cookie policy that lists categories a site does not actually use is misleading in its own way, and because it is a commitment we would have to come back and change here before it could stop being true.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking the essential ones will sign you out and prevent you from signing back in. Clearing preferences will reset your theme choice.
